Interreg Euro-MED WatHer Project Partners Meet in Cyprus

The WatHer Project partners gathered in Cyprus from 27-29 April 2026 for the project’s second meeting, co-organised by the Cyprus University of Technology and the Laona Foundation.

Partners from across the Mediterranean region joined the meeting physically and online to discuss the project’s progress, exchange knowledge and strengthen collaboration around sustainable water heritage management.

The three-day programme included presentations of each Project Partner on Values, Challenges and Best Practices and Project’s Joint Strategy, Presentation of the GIS Platform and Eco-hydro Model, and Steering Committee meeting and progress review.

Participants also had the opportunity to learn more about WatHer’s ‘sister’ project the Interreg Euro-MED MedH2 Project through a presentation by the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), encouraging exchange and collaboration between related Mediterranean initiatives

The project is led by the Politecnico di Milano (Italy). Other partners are: University of Padova (Italy), University of Granada (Spain), University of Algarve UAlg (Portugal), IN LOCO Association (Portugal), OTRA – Island Development Agency Ltd (Croatia), BSC – Business Support Centre Ltd., Kranj (Slovenia), Cyprus University of Technology (Cyprus), Laona Foundation (Cyprus), Selenica Municipality (Albania), The Agricultural Chamber of the Administrative area of Bouches-du-Rhône (France) and Terres en villes (France).
