A project that inspired WatHer receives recognition at the Italian National Landscape Award
We are proud to share that the project “Restoration of irrigation artefacts: water, knowledge, and landscape care”, implemented by our Associated Parco Regionale della Valle del Ticino (Italy), in collaboration with Politecnico di Milano, has been recognised in the Italian National Landscape Award 2025 – 2026.
This inspiring initiative, which contributed to shaping the Interreg Euro-MED WatHer project, highlights the importance of restoring traditional irrigation systems as part of Europe’s water heritage.
By combining technical expertise with traditional knowledge, the project demonstrates how landscape management can support ecological balance, cultural preservation, and sustainable water use.
Congratulations to our partners for this important recognition!
